Advanced Neurological Scanning

Understanding your nervous system with INSiGHT neurological scanning technology

At Lawley Park Chiropractic, we're committed to combining hands-on chiropractic care with modern assessment tools that help us better understand how your body is functioning.

Our INSiGHT neurological scanning technology provides a non-invasive way to assess aspects of nervous system activity, muscle function and the body's response to stress.

These scans can help build a clearer picture of your health and provide a useful baseline for tracking changes over time.

What is neurological scanning?

Neurological scanning is a series of quick, painless assessments that measure different aspects of nervous system function.

Unlike an X-ray, which shows the structure of the spine, neurological scans look at how certain systems within the body may be functioning at the time of assessment.

The information gathered can help support clinical decision-making and provide an objective way to monitor progress throughout care.

Neurological scans provide objective information that complements your chiropractic examination.

They may help us:

  • Establish a baseline before care begins

  • Better understand how your body is responding to stress

  • Monitor changes over time

  • Support discussions about your care plan

  • Track measurable changes throughout your chiropractic journey

Most importantly, they help make complex information easier to understand by providing visual reports that can be reviewed together during your appointment.

What does the scan measure?

The INSiGHT system combines three separate assessments to create a broader picture of nervous system function.

Heart Rate Variability

Heart Rate Variability measures the variation between heartbeats and provides information about how the nervous system responds and adapts to physical, emotional and environmental stress.

Healthy variability is generally associated with a greater ability to adapt to the demands of everyday life.

Surface Electromyography (sEMG)

This scan measures electrical activity in the muscles that support the spine.

It can provide information about muscle tension, symmetry and patterns of activity, helping us understand how the body may be responding to stress, posture and movement demands.

Thermal Scanning

Thermal scanning measures temperature patterns along the spine.

These patterns may provide insight into how the nervous system is regulating certain physiological processes and can help identify areas where additional assessment may be warranted.

What does the scan feel like?

The neurological scans are quick, comfortable and completely non-invasive.

There are no needles, no radiation and no electrical stimulation delivered into the body. Most people complete the entire process in just a few minutes.
